Chema Rodriguez’s time at Nottingham Forest didn’t last very long, according to reports from the Spanish press on Tuesday.

Signed on a €600k deal from Levante last summer, the player should be going back to his home country, where he’s expected to join Getafe.

It’s Cadena Ser who comes up with the report, saying there are only a few details left for the transfer to be confirmed, and the defender is moving in a deal worth over €1.5m.

The story’s focus is on the profit that Levante will make with this move, since when selling him to Nottingham Forest in the summer, they agreed to keep 20% of a future sale.

Levante are expected to make at least €200k with this new move. It’s said the defender hasn’t trained with Forest today, as he waits for the last details of the move to be sorted.

Chema Rodriguez has made only ten appearances for Nottingham Forest so far, having spent most of the time on the bench. His deal with Getafe should run until 2023.
