Nottingham Forest are reportedly one of the clubs interested in signing Nicholas Ioannou from Apoel.
Italian website Tutto Mercato Web features a story today saying there’s a big race to sign the 24-year-old this summer.
Their focus is mostly on Brescia’s will to get the player, but both Nottingham Forest and German side Arminia Bielefeld are following him as well.
It sounds like the Championship side were the first to move, since they’re the only one whose proposal is mentioned in the story.
Tutto Mercato Web says the player would fancy a move to Italy, and he should really take a decision on his future in the coming days.
Nikolas Ioannou has a past in England, since he was part of Manchester United’s academy before joining Apoel back in 2014.
His contract with the club from Cyprus runs until 2023, and he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €800k. So despite the competition, he shouldn’t be a very expensive signing for Nottingham Forest.
