Nottingham Forest are interested in the signing of Fiorentina left-back Cristiano Biraghi, according to reports from Italy.
Outlet Football News 24 today writes that contacts between the Reds and the player’s agent Mario Giuffrida took place on Monday evening.
It’s said Nottingham Forest made a ‘double offer’ for the signing. To Fiorentina, they’re putting on the table €6m, and the player would get a four-year contract worth €2.2m per season.
Giuffrida is now set to inform Fiorentina officials Joe Barona and Daniele Prade about the offer, and ‘only then’ the official bid will arrive at the Serie A side.
For now, Football News 24 doesn’t seem to know whether La Viola would be happy with that amount, despite pointing out that they’d need to go after a replacement for him in the final weeks of the transfer window, especially because Biraghi has big importance in the team where he’s the captain.
Earlier this week, Betis full-back Alex Moreno made public his decision to stay at the club for this season.
It had been widely reported that Nottingham Forest had made a bid for him, and now it seems the Reds are moving on to their next target.
