Nottingham Forest have joined Everton in showing an interest in Borussia Monchengladbach’s Alassane Plea.

That’s according to RMC Sport, who say the newly-promoted side are also interested in the Frenchman.

Earlier today, we covered a report from France that stated Everton were keen on Plea as they look to bolster their forward line following Richarlison’s departure.

Plea has emerged as a potential option on their radar because his contract with Monchengladbach expires next summer, which means he could be available for as little as €8m this summer.

That was a figure Everton, even with their limited finances, could more than afford, but it seems they’re not the only interested party.

According to RMC Sport, Plea has four clubs currently in talks about a move because of his contract situation.

Two of those are from England, with Nottingham Forest named specifically.

There is no mention of Everton, but Marseille and Nice are also keen.

RMC state negotiations are underway with all four clubs, although there is no mention of how far along those are or the nature of them.

Nottingham Forest are one of them, though, and are seemingly ready to compete with Everton for his signature.
