Calciomercato.it present an exclusive on Monday lunchtime, saying Piotr Zielinski has rejected the idea of a transfer to West Ham United.
The Hammers have been strongly linked with the midfielder over the past week, and there’s even been claims that the Premier League club have made an offer to Napoli.
Calciomercato say there’s been ‘many indicators’ that Zielinski could leave Napoli this summer. He wasn’t given the captaincy, has spent some of pre-season on the bench, and there was a general feeling that this was the right time to move.
West Ham appearing with interest further encouraged that idea, and there was speculation about who could replace the Poland international at the Serie A club.
However, despite all of that, Calciomercato say they’ve heard from people close to the player that he has no desire to leave right now. It’s stated that as things stand, ‘he is not moving’ anywhere.
Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti is expected to find an important role for the 28-year-old, and unless something changes it’s thought a move to West Ham is off the cards.
