Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul will ‘automatically’ become a target for PSV Eindhoven this summer if they decide to target a Dutch stopper.
That’s according to Voetbal Primeur, who cover the potential options for the Dutch club.
They say that there is a possibility the Eredivisie side will lose all of the goalkeepers in their current squad, so there will be a need for a new number one.
There is a long list of players they could target in that eventuality, and Norwich’s Krul is one of them.
They explain that if PSV were to look for a Dutch goalkeeper, then Krul ‘automatically comes into the picture’ and Norwich’s relegation to the Championship ‘may offer opportunities’ for PSV technical director John de Jong.
Krul still has a two year deal with Norwich, so there would be a need for negotiations, but it’s felt the goalkeeper’s experience would ‘provide the necessary calm’ in goal.
His name has already been mentioned in the past, and it seems likely he would be again if PSV enter the market, which is a distinct possibility.
