As Norwich City and São Paulo get closer to a final agreement for the transfer of Gabriel Sara, the Brazilian version of Goal now reveals the final details being discussed by the clubs.
It’s said there’s currently an ‘impasse’ between the Canaries and the Tricolor regarding the payment method.
Norwich City initially wanted to pay in different instalments, divided over 24 months. São Paulo, meanwhile, demand at least 50% as an initial payment. But despite the lack of an agreement, Goal Brasil claims this shouldn’t stop the move from happening.
It’s said the deal progressed during a meeting on Thursday and could be ‘sealed’ in the next encounter. The player already said yes to the £12m transfer.
Another update in Brazil showed up on Friday regarding the time when Sara will move to Norwich, as previous claims had been saying he’d travel ‘immediately’, regardless of his recovery from ankle surgery.
It turns out journalist André Hernan now claims the player will stay in Brazil for three more weeks to complete part of his recovery, and only then he’ll join the Canaries’ squad. As previously reported, he’s set to return to action in August.
