Norwich City were one of the many clubs who had officials watching Braga playing Benfica in the Portuguese league this weekend.

It’s newspaper A Bola who says the Canaries were represented in the North of Portugal, and although the outlet doesn’t name any specific targets, there seems to be interest in Braga specifically.

Norwich City aren’t one of the Premier League clubs who often watch the Portuguese league. Still, this is the second time they have a scout at Braga this season and it seems a transfer plan could be brewing.

They’ve previously watched the club playing Moreirense in August, and now saw them in this difficult match against Benfica.

Braga were thrashed 4-0 this time, so there was obviously not a lot to see from the home side. To be fair, winger Ricardo Horta had a good performance, but that wasn’t enough to stop the large defeat.

For Benfica’s side, it was winger Pizzi who was the man of the match. He’s scored the Eagles’ first two goals, then followed by Bruno Vianna and Esgaio.

The other clubs who scouted this match were Lyon, Numancia, Hercules, Betis, Real Valladolid, Lugo, Celta de Vigo, Villarreal, Sevilla, Levante, Parma, Carpi, Atalanta, Reggiana, Benevento, Cremonese, Piacenza, Ascoli, Bordeaux, Dijon, Montpellier, Utrecht and Manchester United.
