Newcastle United have been named as one of the clubs who could sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessié in the summer.
It’s Italian website Tutto Mercato Web who brings a story on the 23-year-old, saying an AC Milan exit is on the cards if a good offers arrives in the next window.
Milan are said to be looking to get rid of big salaries, and even though his current deal fits the budget, it’s known the player would demand too much in case of a renewal.
Tutto Mercato Web claims that Newcastle have been in touch for his transfer ‘in the past few weeks’ and have been talking about a bid of €5m for a loan deal, plus a buying option of €25-30m.
But there’s ‘no way’ this deal could go through, the website says. Milan are not in a hurry to let Kessié go, and in case they do, the demands would be a lot bigger.
The Rossoneri paid €24m to buy Kessié from Atalanta last summer, so it wouldn’t make sense for them to let him go for that offer now.
