Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked to Real Betis star Loren Morón.

Now it’s Spanish website La Razón who reports the interest, saying José Mourinho continues to be chasing a striker from La Liga.

Spurs already tried to sign Real Sociedad’s Willian José in the January transfer window, and following the failure to get the Brazilian, Morón would become next on the list.

Betis are said to be in negotiations to extend the 26-year-old’s contract. To convince him to do so, they would decrease his release clause from €60m to €50m.

Tottenham are ‘willing’ to ‘take advantage’ of the lower clause, suggesting they’d pay the €50m, but in that respect the renewal wouldn’t make a great deal of sense for Betis.

La Razón takes claims from the Italian press to say that AC Milan and Napoli would also be in the race for the player, with the latter willing to offer €40m for his transfer.

Moron has 11 goals in 29 appearances for Betis this season, with nine of them being scored in La Liga. His current contract with the club runs until 2022.
