Despite all the reports saying that Quique Sánchez Flores could be the next Stoke City manager, it seems that his club still doesn’t know anything about it.
Spanish outlet Marca brings a report today saying the manager still hasn’t spoken to any official or director from Espanyol about the Potter’s alleged intention to sign him.
Marca doesn’t seem to know much about the interest either, as they take claims from England to say that a response from Flores is expected by Stoke City before tomorrow.
Even though Flores has a contract running with Espanyol until 2019, it’s claimed the deal wouldn’t require any ‘economical penalty’ for him, making the scenario good for the Premier League side.
But Marca concludes the article saying that ‘everything points’ that Flores will at least finish the season at Espanyol. So maybe the manager is now agreeing a deal for the summer only.
