Despite the departure of João Cancelo, who has just signed for Bayern Munich on loan until the end of the season, Bernardo Silva isn’t going to follow him in leaving Manchester City.

That’s according to Le10 Sport in France, who counter what has been said in England about the Portuguese potentially leaving the Etihad in the January transfer window for Paris Saint-Germain.

They state that despite what is being reported on these shores, there is ‘no chance’ of the Manchester City star heading to France before the end of the day.

The Portugal international has been a target for both the Ligue 1 leaders and Barcelona over the past few months, but no deal has ever been reached with Pep Guardiola’s side.

João Cancelo leaving could have been the start of a few others following suit, but it’s appears that the Spanish manager wants to try and keep as much of his core as possible, perhaps knowing that replacing Silva late on in the transfer window will be quite difficult.

Either way, Le10 Sport wanted to set the record straight, and that’s exactly what they’ve done.
