On January 7th, we carried a report from Het Belang van Limburg, who stated Leicester City are among the clubs who have Charles De Ketelaere on their transfer target ‘list’.
It was also reported Club Brugge are ‘aiming for much more’ than the star’s market value of €27m.
The forward has impressed for the Jupiler Pro League winners this season, managing 15 goals and nine assists in 35 matches in all competitions. The player’s form has seen the Foxes keep tabs on him.
That’s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, who explain Brendan Rodgers’ side have the 20-year-old ‘in their sights’.
Claims made by HBVL last month are again echoed by HLN. They state Leicester’s interest in the Belgium international ‘should not come as a surprise’ as they have been following him ‘closely for some time’.
De Ketelaere’s compatriots Youri Tielemans, Timothy Castagne and Dennis Praet all signed for Leicester in recent seasons, while the English club took Wilfred Ndidi from Genk in 2017.
HLN mentions the aforementioned players and questions whether De Ketelaere will be ‘next on that list?’ to join Leicester.
If the Club Brugge star were to move to the King Power Stadium, it would further bolster their attacking division next season.
