Spain’s Gol Digital have got themselves fully carried away with the idea of Ayoze Perez swapping Newcastle United for Real Betis this summer.
Having already launched the story saying Perez is ‘seduced’ by the attacking football project at Betis, it’s now claimed the transfer is ‘imminent’.
No reason is given for that. There’s not even a mention of talks with Newcastle United, or of any kind of fee for the attacker, but the ‘imminent signing of Ayoze’ is something they’re running with.
So much so, that it’s explained Real Sociedad could take advantage of the situation and make a move for Tony Sanabria.
The 22 year old striker would have his place taken by Perez’s move from Newcastle, and that gives Real Sociedad a chance to sign him and help their own transfer plans.
Maybe tomorrow Gol Digital will start talk of a medical being passed, and what shirt number Perez will wear, such is the speed their imagination seems to be running at.
