According to a claim in the Turkish media, Newcastle United have confirmed they are interested in Galatasaray attacker Garry Rodrigues.
The Premier League side have been linked with the player since last summer with reports this week they are lining up another offer for the Cape Verde international.
The Magpies have already had bids rejected for the 27 year old in the past two transfer windows.
Aksam have reported on comments they claim a Newcastle United official has said with regards to the pursuit of Rodrigues: “Yes, it’s true that we are following him. No talks about the player’s valuation have taken place.”
This week it was claimed Newcastle United are lining up a bid in the region of €23m for Rodrigues, but they may need to offer up to €30m as reported in the Turkish press.
In recent weeks Newcastle have been travelling to Turkey to get a final assessment of the player ahead of the summer transfer window, and it’s possible they will face competition from fellow Premier League sides Everton and West Ham United.
