Juventus youngsters Dean Huijsen and Matías Soulé are on loan at AS Roma and Frosinone respectively, and their performances have caught the attention of Newcastle United and other clubs.
On May 3rd, we covered claims from Italy that the Magpies are pressing to sign the 19-year-old defender, while Soulé is also on their agenda.
Four days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport had backed it up, and suggested that Newcastle need at least €60m to sign the duo in the summer window.
Huijsen and the 21-year-old winger will have to return to the Turin club, and Tuttosport state they have a clear plan to cash in from their sales, to help them fund their signings.
Juve’s idea is to raise more than €100m, and around €60-70m could be raised by selling Huijsen and Soulé.
Newcastle have been following Soulé for some time and the Argentine would cost around €35m. Eddie Howe’s side are also in the picture for the Spain U21 international but will have to battle it out with Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig for his signature.
Tuttosport say the centre-back would cost around €30m, meaning Newcastle have to invest around €60-70m to sign the two players. Taking their form, potential and age into account, it would be a good investment for the Magpies for their future.
It’s worth noting the Italian media keep trying to increase the youngsters’ price, but it’s quite possible that the deal could concluded for less, especially if Newcastle take both.
