Three days ago, we relayed news from Italy that Newcastle United are pressing to sign Dean Huijsen in the summer window.

The Juventus player has been on loan at AS Roma since January and has been a regular for the latter. His performances have helped him attract interest from a few clubs, including Newcastle.

A fresh report from Gazzetta dello Sport talks about Newcastle’s interest and the Serie A’s position on parting ways with the defender.

Juventus technical director Cristiano Giuntoli has to find a way to raise funds, to carry out signings in the next window, and has decided to sell some of the club’s youngsters.

The 19-year-old and Matías Soulé, currently on loan at Frosinone, are two names in the transferable list. The Magpies are in the picture to sign them both.

Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund are both keen on the Spain U21 international, and it’s claimed the two clubs are ‘thinking about’ making an offer of €30m each. Huijsen may have to make a decision between the Tyneside club and BVB.

Eddie Howe’s side are also interested in Soulé, who has excelled at Frosinone this season, managing 11 goals and three assists.

The newspaper states the Old Lady expect to receive offers in excess of €30m, possibly reaching around €35m, for the 21-year-old winger.

In short, Newcastle need to invest at least €60m to sign the two players from Juventus.
