According to Greek newspaper FOS, as covered by Sdna, Newcastle United are interested in signing Olympiacos midfielder Mady Camara.
Camara has been a key player for Pedro Martins’ side, with Olympiacos winning their first Greek Superleague title in three years last weekend. They’ve also impressed in Europe after knocking out Arsenal in the last round of the Europa League.
It’s reported Italian giants AC Milan are following the situation of the midfielder, and FOS added there’s interest from England, namely Newcastle United. He’s also been linked with Sheffield United in recent weeks.
Steve Bruce’s side will be in the market this summer to strengthen their squad, and Camara is said to be one of the targets.
Olympiacos are reportedly looking at alternatives to replace Camara and Sporting’s Eduardo Henrique is their primary target, say FOS.
Camara has made 44 appearances for Erythrolefki this season, and scored six goals. His contract at Georgios Karaiskakis will expire at the end of June 2023.
