Loris Karius has completed his medical at Newcastle United and is set to be announced as their replacement for Karl Darlow soon.
That’s according to Sky Germany, who say the goalkeeper has ‘successfully completed’ his medical and will join the Magpies as a free agent.
Eddie Howe and co have been left scrambling to find competition for number one Nick Pope this week after Karl Darlow suffered was ruled out through injury.
With Martin Dubravka having also left to join Manchester United that’s left them with little cover and Newcastle been forced to look into the free agent market.
It seems the next major step has now been taken, with Sky Germany reporting that the goalkeeper has now successfully completed his medical and there will be an announcement from Newcastle soon.
