Federico Dimarco has been one of the standout players for Inter Milan this season and his impressive displays have pleased several clubs, including Newcastle United.
Operating mainly as a left wing-back, he’s scored four goals and registered five assists from 31 matches in all competitions this season.
Newcastle are looking to strengthen the left-back position in the next window and have included the 25-year-old in their wish list.
That’s according to InterLive.it, who add Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney is also on the Magpies’ agenda. If Eddie Howe’s side fail to sign him, they could look at the Italy international, who has been an ‘immovable’ player at the San Siro.
The Italian is considered to be at the heart of the Nerazzurri’s project and therefore, Inter chiefs, Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio, will need an ‘indispensable’ offer to consider the player’s sale.
Dimarco has a deal lasting until 2026. If Newcastle are keen to sign him in the summer, they will have to offer at least around €40m for the Serie A side to say ‘yes’ to the left-back’s sale.
