Leicester City’s season isn’t a disaster.

It’s not great, the club are currently ninth in the Premier League, and that newly promoted Wolves are above them, courtesy of their victory over Claude Puel’s side, will certainly sting.

But the bad feeling around the club is related to more than actual results. Puel doesn’t appear to have a good reputation among the club’s supporters, and it’s a similar situation to what the Frenchman saw at Southampton.

With the Saints, he wasn’t doing a bad job if only results are taken into account, and they certainly experienced a dip in form, which saw serious relegation danger, after the manager left.

Style of play and a lack of charisma from Puel is part of the problem, and part of the reason he’s now the favourite to be next Premier League manager sacked.

France’s Telefoot say Leonardo Jardim is ‘in the spotlight’ at the Foxes, and therefore being considered as a possible replacement.

Jardim had been expected to take a job in China, but is holding out for a good opportunity in Europe.
