Galatasaray are close to renewing Bruma’s contract reveal Fanatik, following speculation he could be heading to Tottenham Hotspur.
Bruma confirmed last week there has been talks with his agent Catio Balde regarding a new contract, and Fanatik expect Bruma will sign this in the coming weeks.
This comes a week after claims from Turkey that Bruma had asked Gala to let him leave, with Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham being the destination.
Galatasaray feared Bruma’s contract situation could force them to sell their prized asset for a cheaper price, with Tottenham looking to take advantage. Which sounds like something which would appeal to Daniel Levy’s negotiating skills.
The 22-year old is currently earning €1.2m per year at Galatasaray and has demanded €3.5m.
Fanatik say Galatasaray are ready to give Bruma €2.5m per year and the newspaper also confirms there’s another meeting planned with the player’s agent.
Despite the difference in Bruma’s demands and what Galatasaray are offering, it’s claimed both sides will come in an agreement in the coming days.
Bruma is currently drawing interest from Tottenham, and he’s apparently impressed Mauricio Pochettino with his good performances this season.
This hasn’t been a case of Bruma using Tottenham reports to get a pay rise, the player has a genuine desire to move to England, and that wish won’t disappear with a new contract.
Pochettino bought Georges-Kevin N’Koudou from Marseille in the summer, but Tottenham are repeatedly linked with wingers, and Bruma is a reasonable option. This story isn’t likely to go away.
A new contract would give Bruma an immediate pay rise and make him more content to stay until the end of the season, with Galatasaray also believing they could get a better fee in the summer.
With the player being keen on a move to Tottenham, or any other big Premier League side, then it would be no surprise if there’s insistence from his end on a reasonable buyout clause.
