Galatasaray are set to strengthen their position by offering Bruma a new contract according to PostaSpor.

There were reports about Premier League interest for him with Tottenham the favourites to land him. Tottenham are reportedly in no hurry to sign him as Bruma’s contract expires in 2018 but the Galatasaray board offered Bruma a new deal which he’ll earn €2m a year.

Galatasaray reportedly want a release clause around €40m which will help them to negotiate a little more easily. Posta believes Bruma’s new deal should not be a problem but HaberTurk has some different info about the topic.

Screen Shot 2017-01-02 at 19.45.40HTSpor say Bruma wants to leave Galatasaray for Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham and he reportedly told the board: ‘Let me leave.’

As is often the way in the Turkish media, the player’s words to the Galatasaray board have been paraphrased: ‘Let me go to England, you win and I do too.’

But Galatasaray’s board are afraid of fan protests as Bruma is easily the most loved player at the moment. Whilst Bruma’s wish to move to England is well known, and Tottenham have been repeatedly linked, this is surely a transfer the Turkish would prefer to happen in the summer, and for a big fee after a contract renewal.

With 5 goals and 5 assists under his belt so far, Bruma is currently the one of best players Galatasaray have. Without a renewal, Tottenham and others could more easily pressure for a sale.

Pochettino brought in Georges-Kevin N’Koudou during the summer transfer window, but Tottenham are still being linked with other wingers. Bruma’s pace may well be an attraction for the Spurs manager.
