Claims about the future of Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian continue in the Italian media, and that shows no signs of stopping.
The fullback is now set to be watched by Inter officials in the friendly match between Italy and Germany tonight.
To achieve the signing, which would be of a loan deal, Inter Milan would apparently have to beat Antonio Conte’s Chelsea to the Manchester United player.
Darmian managed to get a start in Manchester United’s last three games. He now has 450 minutes played under José Mourinho, with three appearances in the Europa League and two others in the Premier League.
Other clubs come and go with Darmian, and that may well be the case for Chelsea, but Inter Milan always seem to be in the stories and that’s where the interest has looked strongest in recent months, regardless of managerial change at the club.
Once again, it must be pointed out that agents can do what they please, the decision on this potential move will rest with Mourinho.
