Last week, Torino came forward for Chelsea’s Cesare Casadei.
They had made an offer for the Italy U21s man and Lazio were also mentioned as an interested club. Monza have also been linked with him in recent weeks, and indeed it feels like half of Serie A has been keen to take him back to Italy at some point.
It now seems as if the Turin club have no intention of giving up on their move for the 21-year-old.
Sky Italia, as relayed by TorinoGranata, have reported that Casadei has now given his approval to a move to the Serie A club, who could offer the midfielder his first-ever experience in the Italian top flight.
Talks between the two clubs are scheduled to take place between Tuesday and Wednesday this week and Torino want to come close to Chelsea’s asking price.
As of now, there is a considerable amount of difference between them. Torino are offering a fee of €12m and a big future resale percentage, whereas the Blues want a fee of €20m and a buyback clause in the deal.
The next round of talks could bring the parties closer, with Casadei said to be Torino’s key target for the January transfer window.
