A regular at Watford during their time in the Premier League (when fit), Roberto Pereyra is unlikely to want to spend next season in the Championship.
The Argentine will likely know his stock is high around Europe despite his club’s performances last year, with previous rumours suggesting he could make a return to Udinese, where he spent five years before moving to Juventus.
The midfielder, however, could have another opportunity open in Italy, as a second club in Serie A are keen on his services.
They are Sassuolo, who are looking to continue their growth in the league after finishing eighth last season.
The Italians are said to be ‘observing’ the Watford midfielder, according to Corriere dello Sport, aware that relegation down to the Championship could open doors that were previously shut while the Hornets maintained their top flight status.
Furthermore, the fact the 29-year-old only has one year left on his contract at Vicarage Road makes him a very viable options for many clubs around Europe.
One to keep an eye on.
