After Galatasaray, Chinese clubs, Besiktas and Paris Saint-Germain, another club has joined the queue to try and sign Marouane Fellaini: AS Monaco.
This is what DH in Belgium are reporting on Monday morning, seemingly getting the information first, claiming the Ligue 1 side recently contacted the Manchester United midfielder and his entourage about joining them on a free in the summer.
The transfer would take place following the World Cup once his contract at Old Trafford runs its course, and the idea would be to get an agreement done before the international competition.
However, DH make it very clear that Fellaini is in no rush whatsoever to sign anything just yet, happy to wait and analyse all the options at his disposal.
In fact, there’s a good chance the Manchester United man could wait until after the World Cup to make his decision, as a good competition with Belgium could see his stock rise, allowing him to ask for more money or attract attention from bigger clubs.
It’s a risk, but if he’s confident in his ability to shine and start most games under Roberto Martinez in Russia, then why not?
