Denzel Dumfries is a player Inter Milan appear to be edging towards the market. He’s not officially for sale, the gist from the Italian media has been that Inter will consider his exit should a good offer arrive.

The Serie A side are one of many European clubs facing issues with their finances, and it’s likely they’ll be looking for at least one big sale in the coming windows.

Calciomercato report Chelsea and Bayern Munich have already been in touch regarding a deal, and it’s thought Graham Potter’s side are continuing with their pursuit, impressed by the Dutchman since he moved to Italian football.

The situation could be linked to Romelu Lukaku and the striker’s future, with him currently being on loan at Inter. According to the report, the Belgium international has no intention of returning to Chelsea, so eventually there’d have to be a discussion over what Inter would be willing to pay.

Negotiations over Lukaku’s future are on the way, and it’s thought Chelsea will drag Dumfries into those chats, whilst Inter would like talks for the two players to remain separate.
