In their headline, Canarias7 say it’s a ‘surprise’ move and Sakco ‘arrives on loan from Leeds’.
Sources within Las Palmas have told Canarias7 that the arrival of Sacko is ‘imminent’ and the presentation of the player would be expected this week.
Negotiations are said to have been ‘simmering for several weeks’, and a good relationship between the two clubs has helped a deal. Talks to arrange the friendly, which was played on Sunday at Elland Road, built that relationship and helped Las Palmas get the player.
It’s claimed there was no shortage of proposals from English and Portuguese clubs for the Leeds United player.
