When transfer information comes from a fan run website, it’s always difficult to know if the news should be taken seriously.
There are exceptions, like Paris United, whose track record speaks for itself, and perhaps Girondinfos, who explain on Monday talks between Bordeaux and Leicester City’s Adrien Silva are ‘continuing’.
While the French website’s information isn’t always perfect, the fact many articles have been written in the national press about Bordeaux trying to plug their ‘leak’ speaks volumes of where the news comes from.
Either way, Girondinfos state a lot of what we already know, which is that Leicester City’s Silva is interested by the project at his former club, while the midfielder is ‘exactly’ the type of player the Ligue 1 side are trying to bring in.
This falls in line with what was written in Sud-Ouest on Sunday, who stated Bordeaux were ‘still hoping’ for the Foxes to let their man go should they bring someone else in to replace him come the end of the transfer window.
If Girondinfos’ claim is correct, then it suggests Leicester are either giving in to Silva’s wishes, meaning Puel has given the transfer the green light, or they are currently working on an incoming for their midfield.
There’s only a few days left to get something sorted.
