Over the weekend we covered claims from Turin newspaper Tuttosport that Juventus are somewhat fretting over Emre Can.
They’d like to have the deal to sign him all sewn and official by now, but Can and his agents are holding Juve off.
Can was said to be concerned that if he signs a pre-contract agreement with the Serie A champions, ahead of a free move in the summer, then Liverpool may not use him as much in the second half of the season.
Juventus worry that Can delaying things could allow other clubs to come in and snatch the midfielder away from their clutches.
A similar theme continues in Monday’s edition of Tuttosport, and it’s explained negotiations are ongoing.
Getting the Liverpool player all signed up is said to be a priority for Juventus right now, but Can continues to drag his feet.
The German international and his agents ‘are in no hurry’ to commit, but Tuttosport still expect developments ‘in the coming days’.
