Lyon’s Bruno Guimaraes has been repeatedly linked with a move to Arsenal over the past week or so, with multiple claims about a potential deal.
That even saw the midfielder asked about the Gunners rumours, which he simply said were a normal part of football, and that he leaves things like that down to his agents.
On Tuesday there were claims that Edu Gaspar could be set for another try to sign the Brazilian, having tried to get him to Arsenal before, only to be ‘burned’ at the time by Lyon.
Arsenal have also been linked with Juventus’ Arthur, and we covered a report on Tuesday which stated the former Barcelona player would certainly be tempted by a move to the Premier League club.
RMC now give their slant and they believe Arsenal are moving from Guimaraes to his compatriot. It’s said ‘negotiations are advanced’ over a deal to take Arthur to the London club on loan in the current window.
Arthur is now thought to be the ‘priority’ over the Lyon man, and would almost certainly be a cheaper recruit.
