According to a claim in the Russian media, CSKA Moscow are closing in on the signing of Everton attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic.
As reported by Championat, the Russian side are very close to completing the permanent transfer of Vlasic, who impressed for them during the 2018/19 season whilst on loan.
Vlasic’s agent Tonci Martic has spoken to the Russian website and confirmed talks: “I can’t confirm that CSKA and Everton have reached an agreement for Vlasic. All I can say is Nikola and CSKA are in talks and we are negotiating.”
Championat also claimed a few days ago that both clubs are very close to agreeing a deal for the 21 year old, and it’s likely his Everton departure will be announced after the U21 European Championship, where Vlasic is representing Croatia.
He’s also been linked with a move to Turkey, but it seems the youngster will remain at CSKA Moscow where he scored 8 goals last season.
The player has gone on record in the past to say he’d like to remain in Russia, so now it’s just a case of reaching an agreement with Everton.
