Stefano Sturaro’s agent has confirmed Everton are among the clubs interested in his client. Sturaro isn’t a much used member of Juventus’ squad but the club have so far knocked back all attempts to sign him.
The 24 year old can play a variety of midfield roles and also at right back, so he’s useful for Juventus to keep around. A great attitude also helps, and that’s probably why an exit hasn’t looked likely over the past two windows.
But 2 Serie A starts so far this season must be a frustration and with Emre Can thought to be arriving in the summer the situation doesn’t look much better in the future.
Speaking to Il Bianco Nero, the player’s agent confirmed interest from several clubs including Everton, and made it clear Juventus aren’t looking to sell.
Carlo Volpi explained: “The market is in Italy 80% of the clubs, with some very insistent, abroad it’s Valencia and Everton mainly.
“Stefano’s situation is clear: Juve won’t sell him, because he is a player who serves the Bianconeri, naturally he is pleased to be requested in Italy and abroad with so many clubs calling us, but the management is saying no. We all know that in the transfer market everything can happen, but they have been clear to everyone.”
If Sam Allardyce could pull off the signing, even in the summer, it would be considered a coup given the other interest, but unless Sturaro would be nailed on as a starter he may not be too attracted.
Being a squad player at Juventus is obviously going to more attractive for the Italian than doing similar at Everton.
