Liverpool boast one of the best attacks across European football.
Sadio Mané is part of the Reds’ attacking trident, having managed 18 goals and 12 assists in all competitions this season.
The Senegal international’s stellar performances for the Merseyside club have seen him being linked with a move away from Anfield.
His national teammate and AS Monaco winger Keita Baldé spoke about the former Southampton man during an interview with Spanish newspaper AS.
“He’s a great boy. He deserves the best. He is humble and nobody has given him anything. He deserves to be where he is today,” Baldé said about Mané.
The forward’s current deal with Jürgen Klopp’s side is until 2023.
When the Spanish newspaper asked Baldé if he thinks his compatriot would leave the Premier League side in the summer, he explained: “We haven’t talked about football, really. I know he’s very good there.”
“The coach loves him very much. He has given a lot to Liverpool and Liverpool to him. Something very attractive has to come for him to leave Liverpool. A big team would have to come and promise him many things to think about it.”
Mané has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and Baldé was further pressed by the Spanish newspaper on the possibility of a move there for the Liverpool player.
“It depends on many things. I don’t know what his decision is. In a year or two, you may want to change,” Baldé stressed.
“I don’t think he wants to be there forever. He is a smart boy and he knows what is good for him and what he has to do. But in Madrid they are giving out many names.”
