Back on Saturday, we covered A Bola claiming Manchester City’s owners are interested in signing Boavista defender Jackson Porozo.

It was claimed the City Group are willing to offer €3m to sign the youngster, which should not be enough to convince the Portuguese side, who’ve been demanding more to let the player go.

Now it’s time for newspaper O Jogo to report the interest as well. Following Boavista’s game against Porto at the weekend, they come up with some news about the home side.

The outlet features a short story to say Porozo was targeted in an approach from Manchester City’s ‘business group’ and a move ‘could happen soon’.

Unlike A Bola, O Jogo doesn’t bring any details on how much the City Group are willing to offer for Porozo, or even how much would be enough for Boavista to accept the sale.

It’s also still not clear where the defender would land in case of a move.

Because even though Manchester City’s name continues being used in the stories, he could still be transferred to one of their partner clubs. With Boavista not used to seeing their players going straight to the Premier League, that possibility could be the first step, with a later Manchester City career dangled as a carrot.
