Fábio Silva has been seemingly linked with half of Europe in recent weeks as those representing the Wolves-owned player seek a solution for the summer.

The 22-year-old has been on loans from Wolves to Anderlecht, PSV, Wolves and Las Palmas. The first three weren’t really anything to get excited about and Wolves were likely seriously worried about making a massive loss on the £35m they reportedly paid to FC Porto in September 2020.

Now, there’s no sugarcoating that a loss will still be made, especially given he’s now approaching the end of his contract, but the relative success of his Las Palmas loan means there’s now the chance to get something like €20m or more for the forward.

Silva has scored 10 goals in 25 matches for Las Palmas this season and is seen as a good loan signing by the club, becoming increasingly important as the season has gone on.

One of the clubs which has been linked to the Wolves player is Ligue 1 side Lens.

However, Allez Lens have pretty much dismissed that idea completely.

Joseph Oughourlian, owner of the French club, just wouldn’t invest that amount of money in the signing.

Regardless, even if he had been prepared, staying in Spain looks the likelier option.
