Nottingham Forest have announced the appointment of former Rennes and Real Sociedad boss Philippe Montanier as their new manager, and now he’ll be looking to see how he can improve the team.
The Championship side will be expecting to improve on their 16th place finish in the league last season, and Montanier should make the most of the transfer window.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Montanier is hoping to attract Bastia star Floyd Ayite to Nottingham. The 27-year-old has another year left on his existing deal at the Ligue 1 club, and could be sold this summer.
Ayite managed 7 goals and 3 assists to his name last season in 34 appearances, and joined Bastia from Reims in 2014 on a free transfer.
The Togolese international is primarily a right winger, but could also operate as a centre forward, or on the left wing.
