Aside from turning Raul Jimenez’s loan into a permanent deal and signing Jesus Vallejo on loan, it’s been a relatively slow summer for Wolves so far.
Things appear to be picking up now, though, with a move for Patrick Cutrone seemingly on the cards. And he may not be the only young Italian talent they pick up.
Reports over the last week or so saw them linked to Juventus’ Moise Kean and Gazzetta dello Sport say the youngster could be part of a double deal.
While Everton are at the front of the queue for the striker, Wolves are interested too, and it’s stated their relationship with Jorge Mendes could see a deal over the line.
Sporting Director Fabio Paratici has an excellent relationship with the Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes and could help them to complete a double deal for Kean and Sami Khedira.
Juventus are willing to let Khedira go on a free transfer because they’re keen to get his €6m a year wages off their bill. He would prefer a return to Germany but wouldn’t rule out a move to England.
Kean, meanwhile, is available for between €30-40m, although Juventus are insisting on a buy-back clause in any deal. That is something that held up negotiations with Everton, and Wolves’ stance isn’t mentioned.
Despite what Gazzetta say, this may not be one where Mendes can be so crucial. Kean is represented by Mino Raiola, and it’s unlikely he’d be enthused by Mendes using his client in a double deal.
Raiola also has a good relationship with Juventus, and their fans cheated his name recently, outside the club’s offices after Matthijs de Ligt signed.
