Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has been the subject of endless transfer rumours this summer, with a move to Real Madrid the subject of countless words.
Pogba’s representative Mino Raiola is thought to have been offering the midfielder to other clubs, further building his reputation as an agent who doesn’t care so much about those sides he’s already done deals with, and he’s done several with Manchester United,… always looking for the next one.
On Wednesday, Italy FIGC announced that Raiola has been suspended from agency activities for three months, from May 9th to August 9th. No reason was given, and quickly there came claims of the agent’s lawyer waiting for the explanation before taking the next action.
He told ED: “I immediately called in lawyers and I appeal. This is a personal error. I have not received any explanation. Perhaps this is a result of a story from some frustrated weirdo. Write that down. You can ask me three thousand questions about it, but I honestly don’t know what is going on.”
Raiola added: “It is a suspension, but only for the Italian market. And we are challenging that suspension.”
If that’s true, it wouldn’t impact Pogba swapping Manchester United for Real Madrid this summer. However, Raiola has to be licensed by an FA to operate as an agent and if the FIGC have annulled his approval for that period, he’d have to be licensed elsewhere.
