Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz is reportedly having some decisive days regarding his future at Manchester City.
As reported by Brazilian outlet UOL on Thursday, the player is currently waiting for a decision regarding his work visa so he can play in England.
According to the website, it’s Pep Guardiola’s wish to have the midfielder in the squad for the coming season.
The player’s staff is said to be expecting for the decision ‘with optimism’, so the player can finally play for the Sky Blues after being signed by the club one year ago.
UOL writes that Guardiola has been training Douglas to adapt him as a defensive midfielder, so he can play in the same position as Fernandinho.
In case the work permit is not conceded, then the player should be loaned out again. He spent the last season at Spanish side Girona, where he only made 17 appearances.
