We recently covered an interview which Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister gave to Argentine Radio Colonia.
In those quotes, the player had been talking about the fat he lost since moving to England, and how physical the game is in the Premier League.
There’s now more coming from outlet Olé, who made another story from the part where Mac Allister claims to ‘suffer’ for not playing as much as he wants for the Seagulls.
“I’ve been through a lot of things and luckily they were all good,” Alexis Mac Allister told Radio Colonia (via Olé).
“Today I have to be in England, in a place where I always dreamed, but without the possibility of playing a lot and obviously I suffer from it.”
Mac Allister joined Brighton in January, and given he was having his first experience in England, there was obviously a period of adaptation for him in that second part of the 2019/20 season.
However, he only has six appearances in the current season. These were three starts in the EFL Cup and three games in the Premier League in which he only had a few minutes each. So that’s a very good reason for him not to be happy with his first full season in English football.
