Brighton and Hove Albion youngster Alexis Mac Allister has reiterated his desire to stay at Boca Juniors and not return to England.
The youngster joined Boca on loan in the summer transfer window, his second loan spell since joining Brighton in January this year.
He’s made a positive impression back in his homeland, with his performances earning his first senior international appearances in September, while he also in the Argentina squad during the last international break.
Brighton are thought to be keen to cut his loan spell short and are even willing to pay to break the loan contract, although that would be a complicated affair.
The 20-year-old has made it clear previously that he would prefer to stay with Boca until the end of the season, as per the original deal.
That’s something he’s now reiterated, making it clear he does not want to return to Brighton if he has any say in the matter.
“My wish is to stay,” Nuevo Diario report him saying.
“It will depend on the people who run the club whether they love me or not, but I’m very happy in Boca.
“Today, I am fulfilling the dream of being here and playing with the Argentine national team. I am in a situation that is great for me, and I enjoy it a thousand times over.”
