Alexis Mac Allister has once again spoken to the Argentine press, and one more time, he’s made it clear he’s not very keen on completing his move to Brighton.
The Seagulls bought the midfielder in a €8m deal from Argentinos Juniors back in January 2019, and let him stay at the club for other six months.
He couldn’t get a work permit to move to England the following summer, and that’s why Brighton agreed another loan deal, this time for a one-year loan spell at Boca Juniors.
It turns out that Mac Allister is doing fine at the La Bombonera side, and given his wish to stay at the club, he doesn’t mind talking about it publicly.
Speaking to Fox Sports (via TyC Sports) this week, Mac Allister said: “Obviously, I knew it was difficult for my period in Boca to extend for over an year. I wish it could be extended, because I really enjoy being here.”
He’s probably just expecting Brighton to forget about him, although some rumours recently said the Seagulls were even interested in trying to get him to England in this market.
