Manchester City midfielder Sinan Bytyqi has joined Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles, which has been confirmed on the Dutch club’s official website. Bytyqi has yet to make his competitive debut with Manchester City, but he expects to get opportunities with the Eredivisie side.

Speaking to the club’s website, Bytyqi said he will get valuable experience playing for Go Ahead Eagles this season despite recently signing an contract extension with Manchester City. The 21-year-old revealed Pep Guardiola enjoyed having him during pre-season, but the youngster believes he will benefit from getting first team football with the Dutch side.

“Guardiola said recently he enjoyed having me during the pre-season, and it was good for my development if I was going to be playing more minutes in a competition at the highest level in Europe. Go Ahead Eagles is ideal for that matter,” said the Manchester City youngster.

Bytyqi’s loan move to Go Ahead Eagles is the second time the youngster has been sent to Holland after his spell with SC Cambuur last year. The player recently extended his contract with the Manchester club until 2019.
