It appears that while Nottingham Forest’s transfer window has gone rather well so far, not everyone is interested in moving to the newly promoted Premier League club.
The likes of Taiwo Awoniyi and Dean Henderson have come in to help Steve Cooper in his first season in the top flight at City Ground, but it appears that in their quest for a new midfielder, their attempts fell on deaf ears in the north of France.
That’s because, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Nottingham Forest’s attempt to convince Amadou Onana to leave Lille haven’t gone well.
Taking to Twitter, he explained the English team ‘made an offer’ to the Belgium international, but what they put in front of him was ‘turned down’ by both the player and his entourage.
It’s not explained if any talks with Lille were held, but either way, it wouldn’t really matter at this point, because Onana doesn’t appear interested in moving to Nottingham Forest in the near future.
