After a slow start to the season, Arsenal loanee Mohamed Elneny is finally finding some form and has impressed in the last two league games for the Black Eagles.
The Egyptian midfielder’s partnership with club legend Atiba Hutchinson has recently been excellent and Fotomac report the Canadian has their told head of football Erdal Torunogullari the Arsenal player should remain with the Super Lig side when his loan contract expires next summer.
In his meeting with Torunogullari, Atiba reportedly urged Besiktas to sign Elneny permanently as he believes the 27 year old could be a vital player in the years to come.
Elneny had been linked with a move away from Besiktas because of his situation at the club at the beginning of his loan spell, but now the new board has been installed things have changed.
Besiktas don’t have an option to make Elneny’s move from Arsenal permanent, although they could try to find a deal in the coming months.
That said, a small patch of poor form for the player will likely see the situation turn on its head again.
