According to Haber Global’s Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Tottenham Hotspur watched Kosovo striker Vedat Muriqi against England last night.
Spurs had previously scouted the player when Kosovo defeated the Czech Republic last week.
Despite losing the game 5-3, Kosovo played some decent football at St. Mary’s and the Fenerbahce striker impressed against Gareth Southgate’s team.
Muriqi scored one and assisted the other two of his team’s three goals, and his overall display showed why Tottenham are showing serious interest in him ahead of the next transfer window.
Sabuncuoglu claim Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and the club’s head of scouting Steve Hitchen monitored the forward.
Muriqi has been in great form for Fenerbahce this season and has scored two goals in three appearances for his new club. Subsequently there have been reports Fener now value him in the region of €20m and will only speak to clubs willing to pay this.
The former Rizespor striker is under contract with Yellow Canaries until June 2023.
