Starting off his Leeds tenure with two wins in two games, Marcelo Bielsa has managed to quickly put a smile on the faces of the Elland Road faithful.
Already convincing Andrea Radrizzani to make a number of signings to help his team in their promotion bid this season, the Argentinian manager isn’t quite done yet on the transfer market.
With Leeds still able to bring in players on loan until the end of the month, Bielsa, according to Yahoo! Sport journalist Manu Lonjon, would like to be reunited with Fares Bahlouli.
The Lille attacking midfielder doesn’t appear to be in Christophe Galtier’s plans going forward, allowing the Leeds manager to bolster his team cheaply while lending a helping hand to his former side.
It remains to be seen whether the Ligue 1 club will want to help out Bielsa, considering how badly things ended between them, but at the end of the day, business is business, and if they can avoid to pay Bahlouli’s wages, even if it is just for a season, they’ll probably take it.
We’ll be keeping an eye on this over the weekend, but there’s time to get this done, with neither window (French and Championship loans) shutting until August 31st.
