It’s not everyday we get to cover a story about Dele Alli, but there have been a couple over the past week or so because of the Gareth Bale transfer.
For a brief period, there was a suggestion the England international could be used in the deal for his Welsh counterpart, but those were immediately dismissed by the Spanish media.
The claims were described as ‘nonsense’ and were ‘immediately rejected’, which is, in some regard, the same stance held following reports linking Paris Saint-Germain with the Tottenham star.
Le Parisien look at the kind of deals Leonardo could pull off between now and the end of the transfer window, with Dele Alli mentioned.
However, the French newspaper explain it’s more the player’s profile (a struggling high profile player who could be loaned) that is causing these rumours instead of a genuine interest.
While the Ligue 1 club are looking for a forward, ‘many sources close to the London club dismiss a real approach from Paris Saint-Germain for the England international’.
So, if you’ve seen stories of Alli preparing for a move to France before October 5th, there doesn’t appear to be anything serious in it.
